History The Aircargo Service Network Group BV was founded in 1998 by the Koninklijke Frans Maas Group NV, one of Europe’s leading logistics and freight forwarding organisations, listed at the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. In 2002 Mr Ger Daniels became the sole owner of the group by means of a management buy out. By then, the company’s strategic options were re-defined by its operational capabilities, the quality of its people and the openness of its culture. Designing and implementing the right organizational structure has led to a firm development of the group in terms of presence and return of investment. All Aircargo Service Network subsidiaries have been fully re-branded into: “SkyXS Aircargo Service Network”. January 1st, 2006 SkyXS has purchased all shares of Weco Aircargo activities in Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland. Vision SkyXS believes that, facing today’s unstable perspective within the airline industry, carriers need to be more flexible in order to anticipate immediately on the slightest movement within the market i.e. rationalise by altering fixed costs into variable costs, which consequently leads to significant costs savings. Practice Besides local Sales/Marketing and Operational activities throughout Austria and Central & Eastern Europe, SkyXS offers, consultancy, quick cost scans and a road feeder service network for inbound and outbound cargo flows, connecting SkyXS local stations with our consolidation hub at airport LNZ (Austria) or the Airlines European main gateway. Operational activities in terms ad-hoc rating, consultancy and projects originating Central and Eastern Europe are supported and carried out by an experienced team within the airfreight and road freight industry. Several leading airlines are already using us to provide a tailor made concept based on centralised activities via our Central Co-ordination Centre in Linz.
